1Get Your Secret Key
First, you need to obtain the secret key from your service provider (Google, Microsoft, GitHub, etc.):
- Go to your account security settings
- Enable two-factor authentication
- Choose "Authenticator app" option
- Copy the secret key (usually a long string of letters and numbers)
Note: The secret key is different from the QR code. Look for text like "Can't
scan? Enter this key manually"
2Enter Secret Key
On our 2FA Generator page:
- Paste your secret key into the input field
- The system will automatically validate the key format
- If valid, you'll see a 6-digit code appear
Security: Your secret key is processed locally in your browser and never sent
to our servers.
3Use the Generated Code
Once you have the 6-digit code:
- Copy the code (it refreshes every 30 seconds)
- Go back to your service provider's verification page
- Enter the 6-digit code
- Complete the 2FA setup
Success! Your two-factor authentication is now active and more secure.
